Feed The Birds
Early each day to the steps of St. Paul’s
the little old bird woman comes.
In her own special way to the people she calls,
Come, buy my bags full of crumbs
Come feed the little birds, show them you care,
and you’ll be glad if you do. Their young ones are hungry,
their nests are so bare;
all it takes is tuppence from you.
Feed the birds,
tuppence a bag,
tuppence, tuppence,
tuppence a bag.
Feed the birds,
that’s what she cries,
while overhead her birds fill the skies
All around the cathedral,
the saints and apostles look down as she sells her wares.
Although you can’t see it
you know they are smiling
each time someone shows that he cares
Though her words are simple and few,
listen, listen,
she’s calling for you.
Feed the birds,
tuppence a bag,
tuppence (tuppence)
tuppence (tuppence)
tuppence a bag
So Long, Farewell
There's a sad sort of clanging from the clock in the hall and the bells in the steeple too,
and up in the nursery an absurd little bird is popping out to say "Coo-coo"___________
Regretfully they tell us, but firmly they compel us to say goodbye___
to you.
So long, farewell, auf wiedersehn, good night, I hate to go and leave this pretty sight.
So long, farewell, auf wiedersehn, adieu,
adieu, adieu to yieu and yieu and yieu.
So long, farewell, au'voir, auf wiedersehn,
I'd like to stay and taste my first champagne.
Yes? No!
So long, farewell, auf wiedersehn, goodbye,
I leave and heave a sigh and say goodbye,
goodbye______
I'm glad to go, I cannot tell a lie.
I flit, I float, I fleetly flee, I fly.
The sun (the sun)
has gone (has gone)
to bed and so must I.
So long (so long)
farewell (farewell)
auf wiedersehn, goodbye,
goodbye_________
goodbye_________
goodbye_________
goodbye_________
I Won't Grow Up
I won’t grow up (I won’t grow up)
I don’t wanna go to school
(I don’t wanna go to school)
just to learn to be a parrot
(just to learn to be a parrot)
and recite a silly rule
(and recite a silly rule)
If growing up means it would be
beneath my dignity to climb a tree
I’ll never grow up, never grow up,
never grow up,
not me (not I)
not me (NOT ME)
I won’t grow up (I won’t grow up)
I don’t wanna wear a tie
(I don’t wanna wear a tie)
and a serious expression
(and a serious expression)
in the middle of July
(in the middle of July)
And if it means I must prepare
to shoulder burdens with a worried air,
I’ll never grow up, never grow up,
never grow up,
so there (not I)
not me (SO THERE)
Never gonna be a man, I won’t!
Like to see somebody try and make me.
Anyone who wants to try and make me turn into a man,
Catch me if you can!
I won’t grow up (I won’t grow up)
Not a penny will I pinch
(Not a penny will I pinch)
I will never grow a mustache
(I will never grow a mustache)
or a fraction of an inch
(or a fraction of an inch)
Cause growing up is awfuller than all the awful things that ever were
I’ll never grow up, never grow up,
never grow up,
no sir! (NOT I)
NOT ME
NO SIR
We won’t grow up (We won’t grow up)
We will never grow a day
(We will never grow a day)
And if someone tries to make us
(And if someone tries to make us)
WE WILL SIMPLY RUN AWAY!
(WE WILL SIMPLY RUN AWAY!)
And Neverland will always be the home of youth and joy and liberty!
I’ll never grow up, never grow up, never grow up,
not me (not me)
Not me! (Not me!)
No sir!
Not me!
Shine on Me
Shine on me.
Shine on me.
I wonder if the lighthouse will shine on me.
Oh, shine on me.
Shine on me.
I wonder if the lighthouse will shine on me.
Shine on me.
Oh, is a light - shinin’ above?
Is it shinin’ above in the heavens for me?
I’m wonderin’, wonderin’, wonderin’, if there’s a light
That will shine on me.
Will it shine on me?
Oh! Shine on me.
Shine on me.
I wonder if the lighthouse will shine on me.
Oh, shine on me.
Shine on me.
I wonder if the lighthouse will shine on me.
(Oh! Is a light - shinin’ above?
Is it shinin’ above in the heavens for me?
I’m wonderin’, wonderin’, wonderin’, if there’s a light
That is shinin’ above in the heavens for me.
Oh, is a light - shinin’ above?
Is it shinin’ above in the heavens for me?
I’m wonderin’, wonderin’, wonderin’, if there’s a light
That will shine on me.)
Will it shine on me?
